Romgaz to recover 48 million euros from ANAF – Romania, 20 December 2017

Romanian state-owned natural gas producer Romgaz announced that it has received the fiscal inspection report of the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) which resulted from the completion of a fiscal inspection in connection with the excise duty.
In view of the legal provisions in force, the fiscal inspection team drew the conclusion that in case of the company’s technological consumption of natural gas used to maintain the capacity to produce, store, transmit and distribute natural gas, the excise duty has not become chargeable.
