In early February, Republic of Srpska (RS) has threatened that it will stop gas deliveries to BH-Gas, gas company from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), unless gas transit debt to this Bosnian entity is paid in full.
Such move came after RS adopted the gas law on entity level, according to which it charges gas transportation fees for companies from FBiH. For almost three years, BH-Gas did not accept these extra charges for gas transported through 40 kilometers long Zvornik-Kladanj gas pipeline, operated by Sarajevo Gas. In 2015, RS unilaterally adopted these fees, thus doubling the price of gas coming to the Federation via Zvornik-Kladanj gas pipeline.
