Russian Ambassador to Croatia Anvar Azimov announced that Russia is prepared to acquire control stake in Croatian oil company INA, currently owned by Hungarian MOL. This means that by entering the Croatian-Hungarian INA/MOL consortium, Russian companies would also get a control package in Bosnian oil company Energopetrol.
If this scenario happens, with Gazprom, which supplies natural gas to BiH, and NefteGazInkor, which owns oil refinery in Bosanski Brod, Russian companies would have a dominant role in oil market in Bosnia and Herzegovina (production, supply and distribution).
