Although there was a major breakthrough in relations between Turkey and Russia recently, Russian officials are still cautious over renewing the negotiations on the construction of TurkStream gas pipeline under the Black Sea.
On 30 June, Russian officials stated that it still premature to tell whether the negotiations on the TurkStream project will be resumed. The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that it is too early to say which gas supply routes will be chosen to enter the development stage.
