Russian Ambassador in Zagreb Anvar Azimov said in an interview that Russian companies are interested in buying stakes in the Croatian oil company INA and power utility HEP.
Azimov said that Russia is prepared to acquire control package in INA, which is currently majority owned by Hungarian MOL, to enter the Croatian energy sector, to participate in the privatization of HEP and to offer help in the construction of thermal and hydropower plants in Croatia. Russian companies are also prepared to offer their services in the exploration of oil and gas.
