According to data provided by Russian gas company Gazprom, total gas exports to countries outside CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) between 1 January and 15 September this year increased by 9.4 % compared to the same period in 2015.
During this period, natural gas exports to United Kingdom rose by 54.9 %, to France by 27.1 %, to Poland by 20 % and to Netherlands by 91.5 %. Countries in Southeastern Europe also increased import of Russian natural gas, namely Greece by 68.7 % and Macedonia by 20.3 %. Gazprom expects that at the end of 2016 total gas supply to Europe will exceed 170 billion cubic meters.
