Sale of stake in KMGI to Chinese CEFC falls through – Romania, 3 July 2018

According to media sources, the transaction for the takeover 51 % stake in KMG International (former Rompetrol Group) by Chinese company CEFC (China Energy Company Limited) of has failed.
Kazakh KazMunayGas announced in April 2018 that the transaction for the takeover of 51 % of KMG International shares by Chinese CEFC has been postponed for June, for reasons related to overdue obligations.
