According to the data from the Statistical Office of Republic of Slovenia, country’s electricity consumption in August 2016 increased by 1 % compared to the same period last year.
In August 2016, total net electricity generation in Slovenia reached 1,334 GWh, which is 9 % less than in the previous month. On the other hand, consumption reached 1,069 GWh, which is an decrease of about 6 % compared to July 2016. Production in thermal power plants decreased by 35 %, production in hydropower plants decreased by 3 %, while the production at nuclear power plant Krsko remained at the same level. In August 2016, Slovenia imported 549 GWh of electricity and exported 780 GWh.
