According to the data from the Statistical Office of Republic of Slovenia, country’s electricity consumption in July 2016 increased by 1 % compared to the same period last year.
In July 2016, total net electricity generation in Slovenia reached 1,467 GWh, which is 2 % more than in the previous month. On the other hand, consumption reached 1,138 GWh, which is an increase of about 2 % compared to June 2016. Production in thermal power plants increased by 38 %, production in hydropower plants decreased by 21 %, while the production at nuclear power plant Krsko increased by 2 %. In July 2016, Slovenia imported 726 GWh of electricity and exported 1,019 GWh.
