According to the data from the Statistical Office of Republic of Slovenia, country’s electricity consumption in June 2016 increased by 2 % compared to the same period last year.
In June 2016, total net electricity generation in Slovenia reached 1,443 GWh, which is 9 % more than in the previous month. On the other hand, consumption reached 1,112 GWh, which is a decrease of 1 % compared to May 2016. Production in thermal power plants and hydropower plants both increased by 17 %, while the production at nuclear power plant Krsko decreased by 4 %. In June 2016, Slovenia imported 553 GWh of electricity and exported 862 GWh.
