Snam is not interested in DESFA without SOCAR as partner – Greece, 21 September 2016

The representatives of Italian company Snam at the meeting with the officials from Greek Ministry of Energy informed the Ministry that the company wants to be a part of the privatization of Greek natural gas transmission system operator DESFA, but only if it includes the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
Snap representatives reiterated the company’s position on this matter, adding that Snam has signed preliminary agreement with SOCAR for the acquisition of between 17 and 25 % of DESFA and it intends to honor this agreement.
