Greek Minister of Energy Panos Skourletis said that State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is still looking for a buyer for 17 % stake in Greek natural gas transmission system operator DESFA.
Minister Skourletis said that he is about to meet with leading SOCAR officials in Thessaloniki next week during the ceremony for the launch of the construction of Greek segment of Trans-Adriatic gas pipeline (TAP). He also pointed out that TAP project is compatible with the construction of gas interconnection between Greece and Bulgaria and the construction of LNG terminal at Alexandroupoli in Northeastern Greece.
