A subsidiary of state-owned power utility HEP – HEP Toplinarstvo, which distributes thermal energy, has starting providing district heating service for 2016/17 heating season for approximately 125,000 customers in Zagre, Osijek, Sisak, Velika Gorica, Samobor and Zapresic.
The company announced that the heating will start for priority consumers first, including kindergartens, schools, hospitals and hospices, after which heating will start in residential and office buildings in which all the works on the internal installations have been completed. The statement pointed out that the switch from the summer to winter mode will take three to four days. 2016/17 heating season will be finished in accordance with the whether conditions, but no later than 15 May 2017.
