Romanian Government has allocated about 3.7 million euros to cover the severance payments to 3,070 employees of Energy Complex Oltenia, Energy Complex Hunedoara and Valea Jiului Mine Closure Society, who have been laid off.
EC Oltenia will receive the majority of the amount, namely 2.8 million euros for compensation salaries for some 2,000 employees, EC Hunedoara will receive 741,000 euros for 840 employees, while Valea Juilui Mine Closure Society will receive 186,000 euros for 250 employees.
