Turkey’s Privatization Administration announced that Turkish company Tayfurlar Energy Electricity Production Corp. has won the tender for the privatization of hydropower plant Tortum in Erzurum in the eastern Anatolian region of Turkey.
The company won the tender for this 26.2 MW HPP with a final bid offer of some 19.8 million euros, while opening bid started at 16.8 million euros. In total, ten companies participated in the tender, and after bidding rounds, two companies proceeded to the final bid round. HPP Tortum consists of four units, two of which have a capacity of 5.6 MW each, while the remaining units have a 7.4 MW capacity each.
