Bulgarian Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova said that the suspension of the sale of Bulgarian assets of Czech energy company CEZ to local Inercom does not threaten the country’s energy security, adding that CPC’s decision is prime example that there were no political pressure related to this deal.
Minister Petkova stressed that CEZ must perform its obligations as the owner of the assets until the completion of the sale. She said that CPC must have had good reason and evidence to stop the deal, refuting comments that this decision will spark Bulgarian-Czech trade war.
