Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that natural gas that will be supplied from Azerbaijan via Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP), which is currently under construction, will meet the needs of Star oil refinery in Izmir.
President Erdogan reminded that Azerbaijan currently supplies some 6 to 7 billion cubic meters of gas per year to Turkey, but since Turkey has substantially large natural gas demand he believes that this amount should be increased to 20-30 billion cubic meters per year.
