According to a draft document, the Romanian Government is planning to keep the tax on natural monopoly for companies in energy sector at least until 2020.
This tax is paid by electricity and natural gas operators, like state-owned Transelectrica and Transgaz, as well as by electricity and gas distribution companies which have concluded concession contracts with the Ministry of Economy or local authorities.
