Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Kasoulides said that Saipem 12000 drillship, leased by Italian energy company Eni, was forced to halt its course towards Block 3 in the Cypriot exclusive economic zone (EEZ) by Turkish warships.
Kasoulides explained that Turkish vessels ordered the drillship to change its course when it was some 70 kilometers off southeast coast of Cyprus, 50 kilometers from its intended destination.
