On 22 May, thermal power plant Gacko achieved planned production for May with produced 111.37 GWh of electricity, while planned production was 110 GWh. According to the Executive Director for Production of electricity and Development Borivoje Vujicic, TPP Gacko produced 485.17 GWh of electricity since the beginning of the year or 96.4 % of the planned production for this period.
Vujicic said that there are about 160,000 tons of coal in the plant’s stock and the production is stable and without any interruptions, adding that the average annual working hours of the plants exceeds 7,000 hours. He said that in 34 years of its existence, TPP Gacko has produced 36 TWh of electricity and consumed 52.53 million tons of lignite from the nearby mine in the process.
