A group of Turkish and Chinese companies are going to build a 1,320 MW (two units of 660 MW each) coal-fired thermal power plant in Turkey’s southern province of Adana, a investment worth some 1.7 billion dollars.
TPP Emba Hunutlu in Adana’s Yumurtalik district will be built by EMBA Electricity Production Co, a joint venture of Chinese Shanghai Electric Power Co, Avic-Intl Project Engineering Company and two Turkish investors. The plant will have installed capacity of 1,320 MW and its annual production will amount to 10.5 billion kWh of electricity.
