TransAntlantic Petroleum said that it expects to start rework operations on the Devenci-R1 onshore well in northwestern Bulgaria in the third quarter of the year.
In 2012, TransAtlantic Petroleum won a 35-year production concession covering the Koynare area, which contains the Deventci-R1 well. The Deventci-R1 well produced 3.1 million cubic feet of natural gas on a limited test basis in 2012. However, the company did not provide any further details regarding its abovementioned announcement.
