Transelectrica interested in Moldelectrica privatization – Romania, 9 May 2018

If the Moldovan Government make legislative changes to allow the privatization of Moldelectrica than the Romanian state-owned electricity transmission system operator Transelectrica is interested in acquiring the majority stake in its Moldovan counterpart. Transelectrica has regulatory constraints and can not invest in the production and distribution, so that the only target of a takeover is Moldelectrica.
