Macedonian state-owned power utility ELEM announced that local company Transmet has cancelled the contract on coal excavation with REK Bitola and withdrew from the previously won tender due to the inability to fulfill the obligations for excavation in according to the established dynamics.
ELEM said in the statement that it has terminated the contract with Transmet and undertook all available legal actions to reduce the damage caused to the company by unethical operation of Transmet and therefore it will collect the bank guarantee of 300,000 euros and banned the company from participating in state tenders for a period of one year.
