Turkish Cengiz Holding is currently looking for local partners to undertake a share in the project for the construction of the country’s first nuclear power plant Akkuyu, which is being carried out by Russian Rosatom, and their names will be known in early 2017.
Chairman of Cengiz Holding Mehmet Cengiz said that cooperation talks between Russian and Turkish companies are ongoing. Cengiz Holding can not undertake local partnership on its own and is willing to cooperate with other Turkish companies that would like to participate in the project. Cengiz said that the company has to be a shareholder in NPP Akkuyu in order to take part in its management and added that Turkish partnership is expected to be completed in early 2017.
