According to unofficial sources, two of the initial six bidders for the acquisition of 66 % stake in Greek natural gas transmission system operator DESFA have qualified for the second and final round of a tender. Those are a consortium comprising of Italian Snam, Belgian Fluxys, Spanish Enagas and Dutch Gasunie and a sole entry of Spanish Regasificadora del Noroeste.
Qatari Powerglobe LLC, American Integrated Utility Services, UK Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets and French-Romanian consortium of GRTGaz-Transgaz have all failed to make the shortlist. The last two entrants were disqualified because they failed to meet operator certification requirements.
