Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Daniel Mitov has welcomed the support of the United States for key project for the diversification of sources and routes for the supply of energy resources in Bulgaria and the entire region.
During his visit to the United States, Minister Mitov met with the US Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz and discussed the progress in the construction of gas interconnections with Bulgarian neighbors. Gas interconnection with Greece was particularly emphasized, as well as plans of Bulgarian Government to participate in the construction of LNG terminal in Greek Alexandroupoli.
