Hungarian energy company Veolia Energia Magyarorszag Zrt. Has purchased Bioenergia Muvek Energiatermelo Zrt. Which operates the fourth largest Hungarian biomass power plant in Szakoly. The acquisition has been approved by the Hungarian Competition Office (GVH).
The statement from the company said that Veolia aims to make the plant sustainable in long-term, adding that by increasing its capacity to 19.8 MW it will contribute to Hungarian renewable energy targets.
