Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic met in Belgrade with Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Energy Resources Mary Warlick in order to discuss cooperation in energy sector.
According to the statement, main topic of the discussion was the need to diversify energy sources in order to ensure Serbia’s energy security, but other common issues in the energy sector were discussed as well. No details were disclosed, but it is no secret that US officials are lobbying for the decrease of Russian energy influence in the region and relying on alternative sources of natural gas.
