Albanian Public Procurement Agency announced that the Ministry of Environment has concluded a contract for the construction of waste-to-energy power plant near Fier worth 27.7 million euros with privately owned company Integrated Technology Services.
According to the statement, Integrated Technology Services was the only bidder on the tender and its subsidiary, Integrated Technology Waste Treatment Fier will operate the plant after its construction, under a six-years concession contract. The construction of the plant is in line with the strategy and management policies of the Ministry of Environment and the project was initiated by the local government in July 2015. The plant will be the second of its kind in Albania. The plant will have electricity output of 3.8 MW.
